Bio
Scott Greenwood brings over 35 years of higher education experience to his role as a consultant for CMAC. Scott has an extensive background in all aspects of higher education including student affairs, academic affairs, development, and alumni engagement. In addition, he has worked in a variety of different educational settings ranging from small private to large public universities - including several of the leading research institutions in the world. Scott, who recently concluded a tenure as the Associate Vice President for Alumni Engagement and Development and Interim Chief Engagement Officer for Duke University, brings a good understanding of the importance of all types of institutions as well as a deep knowledge of the unique ways each of the areas in higher education work with one another.
Scott believes that the key to success is for institutional partners to fully understand what makes their institution and their programs unique in class – and to then build their engagement program around accentuating that uniqueness. As a senior leader in several different institutions Scott has been able to put that belief into action. He is a strategic thinker who also knows what it takes to operationalize a vision.
In all his work Scott has successfully engaged with his colleagues and helped to create opportunities for building programs committed to serving their constituents. He has an ability to learn quickly about an organization and to see opportunities for building best in class programs. In addition to offering his insights as a consultant, Scott also serves an executive coach helping individuals understand what they want and how to achieve success.
